Our story
In North Carolina in 2018, Explorabout founder Karen Piscitelli was converting her family’s mountain getaway into a vacation rental. As Karen was putting together local recommendations on things to do in the area, she realized there was no single place she could direct guests looking for tours and activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains and its surrounds. Three years later, Explorabout was launched with a mission to connect people with the East Coast tours and activities that haven’t before been easily discoverable or bookable online.
