We will start our Miracle Mile stroll in front of the oldest congregation in South Carolina
Organized in 1687, the current structure dates back to 1844.
The Roman Catholic Mothership of South Carolina.
The oldest church edifice in the city, St Michael's has survived 260 years of Charleston's disasters.
This 1814 church is home to famous pastors including Dr. Henry Muhlenberg and Dr. John Bauchman, both prolific supporters of Lutherism in American.
This is the second oldest church structure in Charleston, and has changed religions a few times over the years. It's natural growth graveyard makes for a great walk.
Our last church in the Miracle Mile stroll, the little white meeting house on Meeting Street once occupied these grounds. Now it is home to one of Charleston's most interesting architectural buildings and graveyards.
