Meet the guide and the rest of the tour group at the National Archives Building to begin this comprehensive 6-hour tour around and through the nation’s capital, Washington DC. Travel aboard an air-conditioned motorcoach with an expert local guide who knows the city inside and out.
Visit the most popular monuments, memorials, and museums in DC. Drive by 30 of Washington, DC’s top sites with stops at 12 of them, including the United States Capitol, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Marine Corps War Memorial (aka the Iwo Jima Memorial), the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Women’s Memorial and the United States Air Force Memorial.
Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city of Washington, DC one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. There is a lunch break at approximately the halfway point of the day.

Itinerary

You will see the outside of the White House.
You will visit the Jefferson Memorial ONLY during the winter months when the seasonal boat cruise of the Potomac River is not operating.
You will walk up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
You will get to see the Vietnam Veteran's Wall with all the history and view the names.
A stop which pays homage to our Women in Vietnam.
Visit the outside of our US Capitol.
One of our newest and most liked Memorials.
You will want to take lots of pictures at this memorial. Lots of gorgeous fountains.
You will love this memorial which pays homage to one of our most famous people that fought for our rights, Martin Luther King, Jr.
Seasonal boat cruise of the Potomac River is also included with your tour (seasonally, approximately April - mid October). During the months the ferry is not operating, you will be able to visit Jefferson Memorial and Eisenhower Memorial instead.
You will visit the Eisenhower Memorial ONLY during the winter months when the seasonal boat cruise of the Potomac River is not operating.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Boat ride of Potomac River is seasonal (March 26 - October 16). When the boat is not operating, you will visit the Jefferson Memorial and Eisenhower Memorial instead
  • There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. DC can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.
