This guided eco-tour is a great way to explore the natural side of Florida. The beautiful landscape and river banks are visited by area wildlife such as water turtles, wading birds, birds of pray and even an alligator or two. On occasion deer and otters are spotted too. Along the way guides will share with you some of the rich history of Shingle Creek as well as search out the local wildlife and share their knowledge about the different plants and animals along the way. Lunch and round-trip transportation is also included.
Itinerary
There’s no better way to view Florida’s natural beauty than taking a leisurely kayak tour through one of Central Florida’s best kept secrets - Shingle Creek. You will be picked up and transported to this hidden gem located just outside the hustle and bustle of the tourist district.
Steeped in rich history, certified guides will lead you down the river pointing out the abundance of wildlife as you glide through ancient cypress forests. This 2 hour out and back eco-tour is a great way to explore the peaceful side of the Sunshine State. Catch glimpses of turtles, birds of prey, wading birds and maybe even an alligator or two. Tour includes single kayaks or tandem kayaks, paddling instructions and all paddling equipment.
After your tour enjoy a picnic lunch along the river before heading back to your pickup location. This is the perfect half day Florida experience for everyone of all ages to enjoy.
All tours guides are Certified Kayak Instructors by the American Canoe Association (ACA) as well as First Aid and CPR trained and certified.
