Discover many of Philadelphia’s most atmospheric neighborhoods and best-known landmarks when you travel by bike—and enjoy an introduction to the city’s thriving beer scene, too—on this two-in-one, small-group tour. Meet your guide in the afternoon and head to the city’s Brewerytown neighborhood for a dose of brewing history. In between biking to highlights like Fairmount Park and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, you’ll also enjoy tastings at local breweries.

Itinerary
Learn what made this the "Lager capital of America" in the 19th century. We'll tell stories of the people who built Brewerytown, and made it famous throughout the country.
City Park Brewery, aka the Louis Bergdoll Brewery, the finest example of a 19th century brewery restoration in Philadelphia, possibly the USA.
The only 19th century brewery left in Brewerytown, currently under re-development by MM Partners.
Have a beer at the only brewery in historic Brewerytown. Crime & Punishment is one of the great new additions to our city's brewing scene.
During our exploration of Brewerytown we'll take a nice ride through Fairmount Park where we'll see more 18th and 19th century history.
We'll spend some time on the Art Museum grounds, mainly talking about the Schuylkill River and its connection to 19th century brewing practices.
Sample one of the newest and best breweries in Philadelphia, now supplying many of the city's small craft-oriented beer bars. This wonderfully refurbished industrial building provides some of the best atmosphere for beer drinking in the city!
Hygge is a Danish word for taking pleasure in every day things. Sample beer brewed on site, and only available here at Bar Hygge!
