About

Make your way to the National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall, where this tour begins, close to DC attractions and public transport. Meet a guide and small group—the group is limited to 8 people to ensure a personal experience for each participant—and set out on a specially-designed route through the museum.
Start at the beginning, with the very first plane to take flight, then see the Spirit of St. Louis, which aviator Charles Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris in 1927. See Buzz Aldrin’s space suit and moon boots, the Apollo 11 Command Module, and rocks brought back from the moon landing. Learn about the technology and innovation that drives the United States’ space program, and about what it means to be an astronaut today.
This tour concludes at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, where you can keep exploring on your own, or visit the gift shop to try freeze dried ice cream.
