Explorabout is live in the Lowcountry Coast, SC, covering Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island, Kiawah Island, Folly Beach, and the Grand Strand. We are expanding along the East Coast with new regions launching in time for peak season, and additional markets opening on demand.

Where do guests actually see and book the experiences?

Through the property manager's own website. Explorabout embeds directly into the property manager's site so guests never leave their trusted host's space to discover and book. We respect that the property manager owns the relationship with the guest. Our job is to give them the best possible tool to deepen it.

What does it cost -- for property managers and for tour operators?

Nothing for either side to join. Property managers earn 25% of every commission Explorabout collects when their guests book, plus a $25 bonus for each tour operator they refer. Tour operators pay nothing upfront and only incur a cost when a booking is made through the platform.

What kinds of experiences does Explorabout offer?

Every region features a curated set of locally built experiences matched to what guests in that destination actually look for. Fishing charters, whale watches, sailing, kayak and eco-tours, culinary and food tours, historic walks, private chef dinners, farm and vineyard experiences, and outdoor adventures. Each region is different. Every experience is vetted and led by a local operator.

How does Explorabout support local economies?

Every booking puts money directly in the hands of the local guides, artisans, captains, and entrepreneurs who created the experience. By distributing through vacation rental property managers rather than national aggregators, Explorabout keeps guest spending inside the community where it belongs.

Can a destination organization or chamber of commerce partner with Explorabout?
