Puppy Power at Tour Week: Connecting the Travel Community & Charleston Animal Society

There is something unmistakably powerful about the way puppies bring people together, and our Puppy Power activation at Tour Week proved it in the best way. What began as a simple idea quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the event. Attendees paused between sessions, gathered around with excitement, and found themselves sharing genuine conversations while holding a very wiggly and very adorable puppy. It was a moment of connection that felt effortless and authentic.
As soon as the pups arrived, the atmosphere shifted. Tour operators, travel professionals, experience providers, and partners from multiple markets gravitated toward the space, sparking organic conversations that went far beyond traditional networking. People swapped stories, laughed, reconnected with old contacts, and formed new relationships, all thanks to the warm and inviting energy the puppies brought to the room. It was community building at its simplest and most joyful.
Most importantly, the event highlighted a cause we deeply believe in: supporting Charleston Animal Society. Every attendee who stopped by was not just enjoying the moment, they were showing encouragement for an organization that makes an extraordinary impact on animals and families throughout Charleston. Puppy Power ended up being more than a cute highlight, it became a shared expression of support, connection, and local pride. Explorabout is proud to partner with Charleston Animal Society and grateful for the way this experience brought so many people together at Tour Week.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this moment possible, starting with Mitch Bach and Alan Armijo of TripSchool. Mitch is also a founder of TourPreneur, a community dedicated to shared knowledge and the empowerment of tour operators around the world. Our very own Allie Temple helped lead the Puppy Power experience, joined by Charleston native and friend Jaime Debiasse of Better Talent. We are also thankful to the Francis Marion team for welcoming our four legged guests into the space. And of course, Charleston Animal Society for bringing the puppies and for the incredible work they do to support animals in need throughout our community. We hope a few pups found their future families that day, and if one of them captured your heart, you can contact Charleston Animal Society to learn more about adoption.
